Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Former two time unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
